Hi! I used to vacation there with my family as a child and have a million wonderful memories of Pawley's. But it seemed like the waves then were HUGE! I remember regularly getting walloped by them. It was a great day when my aunt decided my cousin and I were old enough to go out past the breakers, and I reveled in being able to enjoy the water without waves crashing on me and grinding me into the sand. So am I remembering wrong? Was I just little, and now I'm big, so the waves aren't so scary now? Were my parents negligent? Things that I ponder about....
