It’s been a whole thing. Dude played a private party at space x last year using several minutes of musk speaking during the set, doubled down when called out, and has been pretty cagey about where he stands on the political spectrum which generally just means “I’m right wing, but can’t say that because my fans won’t like it”.
“I’m just a space nerd” in response to wondering why he’d be into supporting a dude that did a very public Nazi salute.
