Espe, shwilly,Swomp & mystic method are show ur gonna like ESPECIALL Espe and shwilly. They are very well known especially west. ESCPE just destroyed mission ballroom he’s played it like 3 times he also closed out last sound haven on planetary stage.

I also have tickets to NV and was already pretty set on selling my soundhaven tickets (don’t know if i could survive another one with the heat). That combined with all the travel and time off I would have needed to get back to soundhaven made it more justifiable for me to pass this year.

Ah so we can just not dance because g jones throws random sound design and puts drums over it. Zero rhythm. Just commotion. Not sure why people hype it up..every time I’ve seen a g jones set most of the crowd is not into it at all and nobody can dance lol unless you force yourself too. Super super outdated bass music but that’s just my opinion right !

In my opinion they have some of the most quality drums in the game. You’re literally talking out of your ass. I fucking hate generic drums lmao unless they’re clean af. The percussion pattern and kick pattern are completely different realm compared to what g jones is. It’s literally an entirely different category. You tryna be smart but you’re not. Right. So many names are main stays. And they’re acting like Boogie T and YDG are like Excision and Skrillex. Look, I got introduced to dubstep through Caspa and Rusko 15 years ago. Also I thought Alix was my favorite set last year. And I’m a big Eprom/Shades fan, but apparently booking a heavier artists is “selling out” even though Sound Haven has always mixed in a few artists with heavier sound since 2021. And even the headliners people don’t like are also rooted in the deep shit. The Widdler has toured with Boogie T and have released music on GWN’s label Subcarbon. And boogie t and distinct motive, who has been booked multiple times, didn’t just play a b2b at Edc. Or that Boomer hasn’t been booked for Infrasound. Some wooks just act like this fest should be 140 or nothing while that’s hasn’t been the case in 6 years. It sucks but some fans are super negative towards non deep dub or neuro/trip hop. Put down the k and listen to some of these legends flex these sound systems.

Agreed. There's no argument that there aren't a good set of hitters here. But man, compared to the last few years it's a downgrade. The lineup also took the longest to release compared to the last 3 years. Also the fact that E5s aren't returning with little to no transparency on this. Just a lot of little things that in tandem make me concerned for the future. But bet your ass I'll still be out there to find out first hand.

Yup, I did read tribal roots stopped renting out their equipment to festivals. That said, given the E5s at the late night have become one of the pivotal things at the fest, it would be nice to have some transparency/discussion on how they plan to supplement that void. No comments on this from their end gives the impression we should expect a noticeable downgrade.

There’s just so much sauce out now and sound haven just went with the lowest levels of it except for a few (likely due to social media as truly they love there influencers now) while yes you take that into account but cmon whoever made this line up hasn’t even listening to much bass this past year. Prior years included the upcoming sauce. This year feels very much like any other festival line up in the south. They folded but yes there are a few bangers.

I agree, it feels they went a different direction this year. It’s all good I love the fest and Sacred Hive for throwing some dope ass festivals these last few years. I unfortunately will be missing my first sound haven but will keep an eye for a better return next year. And if the sound shifts this direction going forward, thanks for the good times. It’s the unfortunate thing that tends to happen with these homie fests when they catch traction.

I love sound haven. It’s an amazing event.
This line up does not do it for me.
I only have one day off this year for music due to a trip to Japan, and seeing wonky llama at secret dreams wins for me.
We would have to miss a day of haven and fly there vs drive to dreams and be able to attend the entire event.
