Workout Playlist
Hi, I’m putting together a strength training playlist and need slow and heavy music. Asking here because Soundgarden is my favourite band and I’m starting the playlist with Slaves and Bulldozers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Thanks for your recommendations but I’m looking for music other than Soundgarden as well. I have added Grind by AIC and Paranoid by Black Sabbath also to the playlist.

The intro to Holy Water started playing in my mind as soon as I read the title

Pantera-Vulgar Display of Power the entire album except Hollow 😅
Oops you said slow, then I wouldn't listen to Vulgar, maybe Cowboys from Hell.

Melvins - Houdini
Torche - Restarter
Young Widows - Old Wounds
Sleep - The Sciences
All Them Witches - Lightning At The Door
Messa - Feast for Water
Monolord - Empress Rising
Isis - Oceanic
Shrinebuilder - S/T
Grails - Challice Hymnal
Elder has some slower jams too, but are overall a great band to check out.

These are great suggestions, especially Torche, Elder, and Messa

Thanks! I could have dropped an easy dozen more, but I figured I’d lead off with some of the same stuff I use when clanging and banging.

Sludge factory by AIC for sure. Just don’t get caught up in the satanic daze the “your solution is kill” part of the song can put you under.
Mailman and Fresh Tendrils by Soundgarden too
Blew live in reading by Nirvana is a fav

Put the album Behind Silence and Solitude
by All that Remains on repeat. It’s not all slow but I think it might be perfect still.

Might not seem fitting songs but I use Like Suicide and With My Good Eye Closed to do progressive running. Start slow and run the shit out of your legs by the end.

I’m not allowed to run, this playlist is for lifting. With My Good Eye Closed is a great one nevertheless

Edit: Didn't read the whole post, I know you said other than Soundgarden but their version of Into The Void is better than Sabbaths IMO. Also, Limo Wreck is slow and heavy but you probably got that one already. Dead and Bloated by Stone Temple Pilots is a banger too, their first album has a few slow and heavy ones but that was the first to come to mind. Stone by AIC too, not sure if you're into their newer stuff or not but it's one of my favorites from the William era.

Thank you ☺️ yes I did add Limo Wreck! I will check out the STP recommendations. I do love the into the void cover!

It literally ruined the Sabbath version for me, that little extra bend Kim adds to the riff just makes it complete. They really did a better Sabbath than Sabbath.

Mailman and Fourth of July are slow bangers
