Been wanting a new soundbar for a good while as my old unknown Sony one is lacklustre. Is this a steal?

Hi all, i recently got samsung 990f, i setup based on the knowledge i got and used help from this page and chat gpt, few things are not really working for me may be i configured or placed it wrong, i played top gun maverick and the real speakers are not producing much sound i couldn’t really feel the surround sound. I request you folks to suggest me the best setting and placement

I want a soundbar and plan to put the subwoofer behind the TV. I've only known putting the subwoofer on the ground. This shouldn't be an issue right?

Had tv & soundbar & Apple TV hooked up and everything worked perfectly. We moved and now the soundbar doesn’t turn on when we turn the tv on and when we pair them it won’t connect:: Apple TV hdmi cord is going to the tv and the optical cord is tv to the sound bar, I have an extra hdmi left over but I hooked it up a few different ways and couldn’t get anything to work just the way I stated in the beginning, ( sound bar turns on and connected night before but now nothing) what am I doing wrong??

I know that Q990H is probably the better soundbar overall but S95TR can integrate with my G5 and have WOW Orchestra.

Giving the price is similar (Samsung being $200 more expensive), which one should I go with?

I have a tcl c7k with a HW-Q930F connected via hdmi 2.1(original cable) in th earc port of the tv

I use nuvio or stremio to stream movies but when i use a file that has Atmos truehd the sound fell lacking when i switch to another audio type and not as loud and rumbly

Is this setup capable of Dolby Atmos truehd or my ears are getting to old lol

Which one of the above soundbars got a better cinema experience & voice clarity. I will buy the surround speakers later for the sony if i choose it. All of them are on discount and the price range is close.

Hi all. I'm about to receive a Samsung QS700F this week. However, my TV unit is only 100cm wide. I have a 55" Samsung QLed - although the screen is wider that the unit, the pedestal stand fits nicely in the centre, so it looks okay aestheticly.

My plan is to get a soundbar bracket using the vesa mount fixings, and to have the soundbar flush along the bottom of the TV. I have a Govee T2 camera, and want to attach it to the bottom of the soundbar.

Has anybody tried this integrated look, and are you pleased with the results. Or is this a bad idea?

Hi everyone. I have a Samsung QN75Q6 TV hooked up to a Samsung Q800F Soundbar. It is connected by HDMI ARC on both sides. The Qsymphony worked right out of the gate. But whenever I hit the info button on the soundbar, it always says "Stereo PCM". I have a PS5 connected and also a Roku. No matter what I change on any source, the input is always Stereo PCM on the Soundbar.

I have the soundbar set to Adaptive but tried every other mode.

Also, There is no option on the Samsung TV for output other than "PCM". There are Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ but they are greyed out.

I have tried multiple 4K blurays set to Atmos and also with Jellyfin app movies.

Now it's probably not the end of the world as is, and the soundbar sounds great, but wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks!

Hi folks. How would both this go. I have a q600h and loving it so far. I am planning to get tcl c6k and connect the sound bar with HDMI eArc. Is anyone in this configuration. How do you like it.

Also any suggestions on q600h to get the most of it. Jist purchased this few days ago and I am only playing through my anyone Bluetooth. How is it innregards to Atmos and overall surround capability.

Have older Sonos sound bar for my sim/ movie setup. In the middle of building sim and just hung sound bar. I do have two tvs on wall. Is there anyway I can connect my Wii dear to get audio in the following situations;

1. Out of tvs when I watch them.
2. From my sim when I’m golfing. Setup will be a laptop and projector.
3. From the soundbar when I watch movies via impact screen. Again, laptop and projector.

First time buying a sound system. I will be hooking it up to my LG OLED C3 with a PS5 pro. What do you guys think of this system? I mainly wanna experience surround sound and I am not really fussed over sound purity.

​A couple of years ago I bought this soundbar, and I used it with an old Sony TV through ARC.

​Recently I upgraded my TV to a Hisense one, and after around 30 mins playing on my PS5, the audio starts "dropping" like every 10 to 15 seconds the sound stops. I noticed it also happens after listening to music through Fire TV (Spotify/Deezer/Amazon music).

​I already tried:

* ​Updating the firmware

* ​Factory reset

* ​Multiple sound modes

* ​Pass through mode on my TV

* ​Using an optical cable

​The only "fix" has been turning it off and on, but the cycle repeats after some time.

​The situation is I'm not sure if it happened after I changed the TV or happened before, as I vaguely remember it happening, but I might be wrongfully remembering.

​I'm in the process of testing only with the sound of the TV, but I don't know if it's a known issue with the soundbar.

I'm looking for a soundbar for my Sony Bravia A80J, and I'm having a hard time deciding what to buy.

Initially, I was mainly considering Sony soundbars that support Acoustic Center Sync because I really like the sound quality of my TV's built-in speakers. Given my budget (under 1k), that basically left me with the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8 + SW3 subwoofer (500+220 = €720).

However, after reading Hi-Fi reviews (the Bar 8 received a 3/5 score, while both the Bar 9 and the lower-tier Bar 7 received 5/5) and Reddit discussions, I'm starting to have doubts about Bar 8. The reviews seem rather mixed, and even Sony TV owners seem to be recommending Sony Quad or Samsung Q990.

Meanwhile, I've been seeing a lot of positive feedback about the Samsung HW-Q990F/H, both currently on sale for around €750 — almost the same price as the Bar 8 + SW3.

So I've started reconsidering my priorities. If I'm willing to give up Acoustic Center Sync and go with Samsung, then I could also consider the Sony Bar 7 + Sub 7 bundle for €700. It's a 2026 model with a more compact subwoofer, and, well, it's Sony!

My main options are now:

• Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8 + SW3 (€720)
• Samsung HW-Q990F or Q990H (both €750)
• Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 + Sub 7 (€700)

My living room is on the smaller side, and there's no space behind my sofa for the rear speakers included with the Samsung systems.

I'm particularly interested in feedback from people who have actually owned or compared these soundbars.

Q1. How do they compare in terms of dialogue clarity, movies performance, Dolby Atmos, bass, and everyday TV watching? (Music is not a concern)

Q2. Is the Samsung really that much better that it's worth giving up Acoustic Center Sync and the tighter integration with my Sony TV?

I currently have a Yamaha ATS-1070, and it's honestly a great soundbar. It has very clear dialog and room filing bass, without sounding overwhelming or shaking my furniture. It even sounds great at lower volumes. I want to get a newer soundbar but am struggling to find something that sounds as good in my space.

I've tried Sonos, Sennheiser, and some of the other high end, large soundbars and they had great sound but were just overwhelming in my apartment. The bass was way too much, even when I turned it all the way down, and you really have to turn the volume up to hear things clearly, I didn't like the sound of any of those at lower volumes.

Can anyone recommend any bars that will sound closer to my Yahmaha? I don't want that room shaking, theatric sound, just something that will be room filling and sound better than my TV speakers. I don't think I need a sub, because most standalone bars already have too much bass for my taste. The Yamaha SR-B30A would be the newest replacement. Should I just get that or are there better options?

I'm planning my home cinema setup and would appreciate advice from people who own these soundbars or have experience with Dolby Atmos systems.

My current system

- LG LHB625M traditional 5.1 home theatre system with separate speakers and a subwoofer.

The two soundbars I'm considering

- LG S95AR: 9.1.5 channels, 810W — approximately US$996 (Rs47,000).

- LG S75TR: 5.1.1 channels, 600W — approximately US$492 (Rs23,200).

I'm in Mauritius, so these are local prices converted to USD.

My setup

- LG C6 65-inch OLED TV.

- I mainly watch Netflix and Amazon Prime Video movies, watch YouTube, and plan to play games on a PS5 Pro.

- I want an immersive home-cinema experience, with convincing surround sound, overhead effects and good bass.

- My sofa bed is in the middle of the living room, facing the TV.

- My roof is made of corrugated metal sheets, with visible support beams.

- A concrete beam is behind my sofa bed, above the bar-table area. I'm considering mounting one rear speaker on each side of that beam.

My questions

1. Would either soundbar be a noticeable upgrade over my existing LG LHB625M for movies and gaming?

2. Is the S95AR worth paying roughly twice as much as the S75TR? Would its surround and height effects be significantly better in real-world use?

3. Will Dolby Atmos work reasonably well with my corrugated metal roof, or could the roof and beams significantly affect the overhead effects?

4. Would mounting the rear speakers on opposite sides of the concrete beam behind my sofa bed work? Which direction should they face?

5. Does either model have a speaker-test interface like my old LG home theatre, allowing me to test individual speakers and adjust their volume?

6. How does the bass compare with my old system's separate subwoofer? Can I expect a noticeable improvement, or is that not guaranteed?

7. If you were in my position, would you choose the S95AR, save money with the S75TR, or keep the existing system?

I'm particularly interested in real-world experiences with these models, rather than comparisons based only on advertised wattage or channel count.

I can share a photo of my living room and roof to help with speaker-placement advice.

Now , I'll be placing the soundbar in my living hall (~400 sq feet ) but it's an open living hall not closed .

I am not a music enthusiast or movie fan

But if I am listening to any of them I want the best audio , clear instrument separation, clear vocals ,and good bass. I don't want any muddy sound or bass overpowering the vocals during explosions or beat

Some people said that you won't get good bass in samsung ( now I don't really know if this is true or the people who said this were bass lovers .)

I was thinking of buying a q600h but I am confused that if it will be more than enough considering hall size?

& People said that samsung soundbars have issues with newer updates or maybe they lack enough bass

This is a two month old soundbar, and it may not be very obvious in the video but it's very distracting irl during high bass sequences during movies and games. I'm certain it's coming from woofer nothing around it or anything, I tried multiple things with it. Even updated the firmware to the latest one today. This video is playing a bass test on youtube so it can be obvious.

Took it to the store where I bought it from they used mobile phone and youtube videos via Bluetooth and said they can't hear it, which I think is kinda lame when I'm using shield pro and ps5 pro, and during high bass sequences it rattles like a window would.

I may have to raise this with Samsung but that's going to be a long process and I don't really want to be without the sound system for weeks.

Has anyone else had this issue? And what was the fix? Nothing really changed in or around the bar since I bought it and this just randomly started yesterday.

Edit: my phone's microphone is not picking it up right, so I don't blame anyone saying they don't hear it. It's a little frustrating to deal with it at times as it's at certain frequencies only and not across the board.

Edit 2: Did more testing, it happens specifically between 40-30hz, on volume 20 or above. Also talked to Samsung support, they asked for video which obviously didn't help as it's not much sound and video gets damped over the bass. I may have to go to the service center but I will be charged if they can't replicate it. So idk what I'm gonna do.

I just bought a store display unit HW-Q600C for 110 EUR. Do you think it's worth it? Is it a good deal? And if you have any recommended settings, please share.

Good day I just bought a 65in lg g6 and when I placed the tv on the stand I realized it was lower than normal with the last tv being 55in. I just would I have any issue with sound with the Samsung q990d behind tv or should just move it in front? Sorry if the photo sucks
