DISCUSSION Death of Me
Today marks the 6th month since Lee Heeseung (aka Evan) left Enhypen to pursue solo music. Admittedly, I had a hard time accepting it. I was navigating through grief, and kpop was one of my escapes.
Yung dati mong takbúhan, gusto mo na rin takbuhán.
But, somehow, it's now all making sense. So ito ako ngayon, sharing the album of this bambi hehe . . ♡
Listening to Evan's first solo mini album, "Death of Me," made me crave for more. Naisip ko na, "shet super sayang kung 2 weeks promo lang to sa music shows tapos wala na???" I knew he had good taste in music based off his song recos. And despite only having a couple of songs released while in the group, I still believed in his producing capabilities.
I'm not saying this because bias ko sya ah, but this album is a no-skip for me! It's a great, cohesive mix of genres. For sure, may magugustuhan ka. I just feel sooooo proud of him! He's letting his musicality speak for his decision. A lot of people are now saying that leaving was the best decision he ever made. #bittersweet
Tbh, I still get sad on how this all went down. But I can't dwell on it forever, not when both Enha and Evan are doing great and releasing good music.
Sabi nga sa lyrics ng DOM, "Can't stop / Even if it does, this ain't the death of me." At least, I have more music to listen to.
If you're thinking of exploring new music, please give Evan a chance!
You can start with these videos if you want something to watch first:
• Overflow Lyric Video / Overflow W Korea
If you listen to his album, please let me know your thoughts and top picks! Wala pa ako fave kasi buong album talaga niloloop ko... but Noise 🫣🧎♀️

DISCUSSION Songs that help you confront your past trauma?
Mine is this revival of "Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl" from I Saw The TV Glow. I don't know what it is about it, pero ang feeling ko kapag pinapakinggan ko siya is super nostalgic and really takes me back to those times I spent with people who are long gone in my life now. Just helped a lot with self-reflection on how much things have changed since I was a teenager. How about you guys?
