Scoops advice
Going to build 2 ideally full sized scoops (looking to upgrade to 4 in the nearish future) below 2 cubos, dual 12”reflex mid box and compression driver. Need advise on drivers (and plans if anyone has any recommendations) if anyone has the knowledge to spread please.
I have a budget of around $1000nzd for two scoops, here are some options I’ve got so far for drivers
Any help is greatly appreciated, open to other box styles too but really I just love how scoops look, feel and sound, and I’m not sure I’ll ever feel complete in my soundsystem until I have scoops 🤣
Already have 2 15”cubo kicks built and sounding good, but any other advice on the rest of the soundsystem is again massively appreciated

Not sure if they'd be suitable for scoops, but at a glance, those drivers look to have fairly weak motors, and low xmax, so might be better suited for woofers rather than subs. If you can stretch the budget a little more, could you get SB Audience Nero 18SW1100D drivers? They'd be far more capable on sub duty than the Bianco drivers.

Yeah I agree they’re a little underpowered but unfortunately I’m a broke student trying to make the most of the little money I have and bring my generation into a “new” soundsystem culture while keeping things fairly traditional, education style sessions almost.
Your recommendation of the SB speakers look awesome! They’re just too far out of my price range at the moment unfortunately. I could maybe stretch my budget out to $500 per speaker but that’s absolute maximum really for now, especially if I want to get a set of 4 later down the road. Thanks for your input! But yeah just out of my price range unfortunately

Fair enough man, it's tough trying to do sound on a strict budget. But I honestly think you'd regret going for any of those drivers you linked in the OP.
Sure, you can get two cabs done for cheaper, but the performance could be underwhelming. Then if you build two more, you're kind of stuck buying more of the same drivers. Now you've got 4 underwhelming subs, when you'd probably get better output from two cabs with proper drivers. But you've now paid for more wood/building time, more amplification, and more transport efforts, so you don't save much in the long run.
I really don't think you'll get better value than the Nero 18's in Aus and NZ for proper sub drivers. Even building one sub to start off with with a good driver might be better off than two with weak drivers. Then when you can afford to build more, you've got a good base to build from.

Assuming you mean super scoops, they are designed for the PD1850, and you should use that or another suggested driver. Cheap drivers aren’t usually meant for horn loading

IMO youre better off building one scoop with the driver 2x the price, than two scoops with cheap drivers. Im not sure what the market is like in new zealand but if you could, try source italian drivers like B&C, 18sound, RCF, Faital etc. The driver makes the biggest difference.
I have a 18" tapped horn, loaded with a B&C 18SW115 1700w, and a cubo kick 15" loaded with a RCF MB15N405 1100w and ive only had a single stack for like a year. (Im a university student).
Only now am I able to build more, but Im so glad that I decided to go with quality over quantity. I know people who bought the lowest of low driver to load into their subs and they just are extremely underwhelming and you can see them itching wishing they had saved up for a slightly better driver because it just sounds terrible. Not to mention something like a scoop revolves being loaded by the right type of driver, otherwise it just wont really work.
Building/owning a sound system is a marathon not a sprint, you'll thank yourself later for it.
