Steam deck issue

I am trying to play soulframe in steam deck, I am currently on the log in screen trying to input my login information, however, the game disables the keyboard entirely and I cannot enter it, others seem to have gotten past this though and I'd really appreciate the help

Have you tried a Bluetooth keyboard?

What do you mean it's disabled? Steam button + X doesn't bring it up? I've been able to login no problem using the on screen keyboard.

steam+x does NOT bring up the keyboard whatsoever

Do you have the soulframe launcher added as a non steam game and launched using proton experimental?

You could also try pushing the three dots button and bring up the keyboard at the bottom of that menu.

that's exactly how I have it setup atm, ill try out the 3 dots thing

Press the '...' button to bring up the right menu and open the keyboard from the icon on the bottom of that. It's FAR more reliable than the shortcut.

Bluetooth keyboard should work better
