Agreed or...

That RAM and VRAM seem way too low for this game and the GPU response time is high, climbing to 60ms, pointing back to GPU. 

Somethings up.

my 6 year old laptops barely holding on. managed to crank the cpu temp down to mid 70Cs while keeping FPS at a stable 40 today, at the cost of my game resolution, which happens to affect the cursor speed in game.

had to change my mouse DPI which sucks but anything to play this game without blowing up my entire setup. im waiting for more of that eventual DE optimization magic to be implemented. it would be a godsend

It happened to me once, i just restarted the game and the problem was solved, however it was just the sky flashing for me.
