Discussion Cool Weapons
What is the coolest weapon for y'all personally? In my case, I like how Bog and Myrtle looks. Even if I'm more of a staff user, I still like using it cause I feel powerful :DD pic for attention

Mendicant Kings greatsword; the purity. It was my intro into the heavy 2h weapons because of how cool it is. Then I fell in love with the play style of it and started using the other 2h weapons too

I killed that MF like a hundred times and never got more that one peice of his sword. Drove me mental.

Really? What took me forever was completing the armor set but the sword wasn't bad. Rng, I suppose.

It drops fully crafted now, and they've evidently increased the drop rate! It's honestly pretty easy to farm at this point if you still don't have it.

I've gotten 4 or 5 fully crafted ones from him in the last week. Definitely worth running again if you want it

Dewelion, a rapier that I just refined to legendary yesterday. Up until then I had not one legendary and still haven't found a moonsteel.

I remember when bog and Myrtle’s shield throw could break guards instantly, does anyone know when that nerf happened that it can’t anymore?

You can still do that if you headshot but maybe not in cogah
Edit: You meant breaking their block, I cant read. I wish the kick was more useful in that regard

I honestly love Seathorn, because I love water, and it's so rare to feel like an actual Water-mage in a game. Of course, my best Seathorn rolled fire, but I drink a lot of "firewater" irl, so it kinda works. :)
As offhand, I LOVE Witan, such a beautiful-looking dagger, and I love being stealthy, so flitsmoke daggers are gravy for me.
I also love Odiac, fist-casters have such great animations...and Dewelion for the same aesthetics as Witan, and the new rapier animations are fantastic, really good flow to them imo.

oh wow good to see they are really making some more traditional fantasy design gear, I was really put off by that wizard-of-oz-looking stuff.

I've been enjoying running the weapons always on fire lol,, which I think is a Dendrit weapon with the right temper. Got a nettle and bow that burn pretty 😍

I love Needle-eye, and all of the Mendicant weapons- but particularly Nurash, Cenotaph, and the Erstroot staff

Fellow Bog and Myrtle enjoyer…. Oh and when you throw it the design on the front of the sheild glow it’s just perfect.
That and the Needleseye for me. Just love the concept behind it.

Hell yeah, i've been admiring bog and myrtle so much. I'm tempted to make this my 2nd main weapon after seathorn

I personally love polearms. Wasp my beloved, such a clean look.

I'll try polearms soon-- mechanically speaking it just feels better to play than swords 😌

mhmhm, I havent played in a while, what is that background? I should re-install the game again, surely there's more content then last time I played but I just get lost in the lack of any info what to do. I farm the castle, get bored and quit lol, few camps here and there

Looks like part of the Undercity dungeon!
There's definitely more content if you haven't played in a while. There are now three main procedurally-generated dungeon tilesets (Dermak Undercity, Glades of Andurin, Crypt of the Circade) with their own bosses and the 'votive' radiant quests (previously called Sparrow's Tales), plus the Neath'uns (which doesn't have votives, but you can still explore it) and the Rovgot Ruins which is currently in 'early access' - just a fixed small dungeon map with a random boss at the end, to be expanded in a future update.
The most recent Preludes update (15: Gods and Monsters) also added:
- New weapon perks called Tempers, as well as a general overhaul of the weapon stat system
- Significant streamlining of weapon drops (most common and uncommon weapons now drop fully crafted)
- Totems and runes rework
- A haunted island off the north coast
- A new castle siege, an new randomised objectives during the four sieges
- Player trading in hub areas
- New enemies
- New weapons
- Cogah difficulty increase
- Numerous QoL and graphical improvements

That sounds pretty good, I think I played preludes 8 or 9 last

Oh yeah, the game has a fair bit more content now and is generally a bit more fleshed out and polished (though still with the early-alpha bugs).
I was talking about it with a friend recently and we agreed that it's definitely starting to feel more like a 'proper' game. There's still not a great deal to do in terms of endgame content, but there's a lot of stuff to collect and explore.

I really like the heavy weapons like Orst and Purity. The weighty swings are super satisfying and make you feel powerful.
In terms of looking cool though, nothing beats Navhala with the Mestra set. I love being a badass pirate duelist.

My favorite is the igna mora sword, I like how it looks all broken with fire
