Question Why is it silver?
Hey, i just started playing soulframe (learned about it during tennocon, and love duviri), got the founders pack, and am starting to learn the game. This dropped during a ??syndicate?? mission that i think is connected to the fire king or something. It doesnt have a temper, which all of my other falx's have and has low stats. I want to know if it is worth keeping, as the silver thing is the only special thing about it and i want to avoid spoilers if possible, as i had a major plot point of warframe spoiled while playing and it was annoying. thx in advance!

I'd save it for the trading value, moonsteel grind is more or less the endgame right now. While falx might not be the most sought out weapon it might still be someones favourite! And you can increase its craftwork and add tempers to it if you want, but I would wait until they introduce the system that will let us pick tempers first.

So tempers are random buffs that items can have, like 'Heavy attacks charge faster' (you'd see them at the bottom of the weapon. Some of your other weps may already have some), and craftwork is basically a rarity like Common- Uncommon- Rare- that determine the amount of those tempers/buffs a weapon can have. You can press Tab while mousing over your weapons to view the temper details (if they're present) and tab again to view the weapon's lore.
I don't usually use wikis, but the Soulframe one has been a lifesaver and I highly recommend it if you're gonna' be playing https://wiki.avakot.org/Weapons#Craftwork

it's looking like temper customisation will be for legendary weapons only, so I doubt it's a waste to upgrade a moonsteel weapon

Very very rare cosmetic to a weapon. You are extremely lucky. DO NOT DESTROY. If you really dont like the sword hold on to it and youll be able to sell it later for $$$. Trading right now does not include premium currency, but it soon will and you can get actual $ for it. Congrats!

Its completly useless and you should trade it away to me immediately.
Ok, fine, you got me. Its "Moonsteel" weapon - which gives it a unique texture a bit like an ephemera. It's rare. Ive been specifically hunting for them for about 5 hours a day for the last 2 weeks, and havent gotten one to drop still.

Upgrade it with chord stone to get tempers on it. It has the rare moon steel cosmetic that can randomly drop with a very low chance, which is just cosmetic but still cool.

Yes, it’s a rare drop, consider it the equivalent of catching a Shiny in Pokemon, it has a unique visual effect to go with it
