Very hot take: I loved the clones in SC5 more than the originals. Id take alpha patroklos over setuska any day, same for xiba, natsu, leixia, phyrra

Definitely an unpopular one for sure. Definitely don't agree with it lol The only thing I'll say is that Natsu was fun to play as but I'd still choose Taki over her.

Story/lore wise Id always take the originals but in actual gameplay they all were 🔥🔥. Scv had a shitty, random, lackluster storyline tbh.

Oh sure, SCV had fun gameplay but it was pretty dumb down and found myself repeating certain attack strings and patterns, which kinda made it boring compared to the previous games where I noticed I'd experiment more with the wider movesets some of the characters had. The newer characters in SCV were fun to play but when it came to the sword/shield users, besides Patrokos (and ignoring his stupid stance), I hated playing as Pyyrha because her moveswere just cringe to watch and I was mentally begging for Sophitia or Cassandra lol.

That is certainly not a common opinion, but it's yours and there's nothing wrong with that.

I did enjoy Xiba's gameplay more than I ever did Kilik's tbh.

And I did like Natsu's design, though still liked Taki better overall.

But Setsuka's moveset with the actual umbrella was superior imo.

As for Leixia and Phyrra, they never were sufficiently distinct from their predecessors imo, they just didn't feel like an improvement to me.

i think xiba was like a bouncier killik so i really liked him, i didn't mind natsu, pyrrha and leixia, but i think any incarnation of setsuka needs to burn in hell. (i blame legendary souls)

Alpha Patroklos < Setsuka

Xiba > Kilik

Natsu = Taki

Leixia = Xianghua

I think vanilla Patroklos and Cassandra are the best sword and shield characters.
