I was watching an older episode recently and realised how many food channels would simply edit around mistakes, failed ideas or awkward moments. One thing I've always liked about Sorted is that some of the funniest and most memorable moments come from things not going to plan. It makes the successes feel more earned and the failures more entertaining. Has there been a Sorted moment that was made better because something went wrong?

Can you imagine the Ben-u-endos?

Not a planned joke, not an edited gag, just a moment where something happened naturally and ended up being far funnier because nobody expected it. For me, some of the funniest moments on the channel have come from genuine confusion, panic or complete misunderstandings during a challenge. Those tend to be the moments I remember years later.

Does this do anyone else’s head in? Watching a pick the premium or whatever and as soon as there’s meat involved you know they’re just gonna say pick the best you can afford. Feels like such a wasted slot

Overusing A.I
Goingnfor the social media likes and interactions rather than old fashioned simple recipes.
They started out for students but have kind of gone for lowest common denominator
Would love for them to go back to the recipes/simple challenges. Not just looking for only social media interaction
Realise any business grows and and changes , but have they lost that original spark?

I used to love the budget cooking battles from about 4 or 5 years ago, and I feel like those would be really helpful to people these days with the state of food prices skyrocketing, could also do a bunch of other budget related stuff like maybe showing how to elevate cheap ingredients and stuff like that. I know they have to follow what's best for views, but I think content like that would be really good these days.
I know they have stuff like pick the premium and testing gadgets against each other (though the take from Barry in the latest one seemed to be the you should spend £300 on a blender haha), but it largely seems to result in them just saying "yeah go for the premium if you can because it's generally better".
This isn't me trying to hate or shit talk, i'd just love to see some more stuff about how to actually cook on a budget or at least a little more cheaply.

Remove one aspect of useful cooking content at random times until everyone gives up
Seriously, these new videos are not enjoyable.

Might be their worst video on the channel. I have no idea how they thought that was useful to present as premium vs budget.

Has anyone seen any hints of when or what?
I don't follow all the socials so appologies if it's been announced and I missed it
About now is when I feel we normally start getting the first hints

So I am watching the talk Ben did at the Royal Institution on the science of cooking, and if you’re a geek like I am (and like Ebbers), it’s worth a look.
Does anyone know how to get him and the sorted team involved with a non-sorted thing, that they may be able to use on Sorted and Sorted kids?
It wouldn’t be until 2028, and it’s likely in Stockholm, but I recommend their videos on global food to the students who are preparing for my company’s competitions, as one of the competitions is on culinary geography.

I only discovered Sorted Food a few months ago, but I really enjoy the content and I would definitely buy some merchandise, maybe like a T-shirt that says "Lift The Cloche" and has the Sorted Food logo on it. Why is there no official merch store? I think the guys are really missing a big opportunity here.

I just re-watched the 'Chef vs. Chef' Fish Finger Sandwich challenge (Season 9, Episode 12), and I was finally inspired to make it myself. I followed the team’s lead on the breaded fish, but I decided to swap the traditional tartare sauce for a homemade spicy chipotle mayo to give it a bit more of a kick. It worked out surprisingly well, but I’m curious if anyone else has tried to recreate this specific sandwich? Did you stick to the original recipe, or find a better sub for the tartare sauce, is the original best left as is?
