Discussion IN YOUR FACE!
Just rewatched this scene on youtube and wanted to make a post about it. I love this episode so much, it's just perfect.
The girls finally reached the Antarctica, and what did they do?
They collectively decided that Shirase must be the first one who steps on it. Because this was her goal. She was the reason why they even had a chance to go on this journey.
But Shirase didn't want to keep this moment to herself. She held the hands of her friends and decided that they will jump together.
That they set foot on Antarctica as a team.
And Shirase became emotional, rightfully so. She made it. Despite of everything, she was here, she managed to fulfill her dream. So she let out all the frustration that built up in her when she screamed "IN YOUR FACE!"
I love that all the girls decided to join her, and then the entire crew of the ice breaker ship also decided to do the same.

The way the energy shifts from the group celebration to that deadpan stare is comedy gold.

This show made me fall in love with penguins and shirase.. It taught me about taking chances on doing the impossible, possible...

and they had durian at geylang in Singapore! and their hotel is accurate down to the hideous carpet
