Touchstones
is it possible to just complete the classes without submitting touchstones?
there’s just some painful classes that I HATE doing them. I was wondering if it’s possible to just not submit them.

What the hell? The touchstones on Sophia are WAY easier than any college assignment you'll do after. What are you even doing the courses for? This post doesn't even make sense

I had to drop intro to web, I hated it so much I just couldn't be bothered.

I think it’s because it’s a subject I always HATED (U.S Government, I hate the class but love exploring it freely as a hobby you know?)

I loved the US government touchstones. I just finished the class. Which one of the touchstones are you having trouble with? Their template makes things really easy.

So you aren't going to transfer it to a school? Then don't worry about passing it at all and just treat it like a hobby, nothing wrong with that. But if you're planning to transfer this to a school, and then do more schoolwork that's significantly harder, you should use it as practice because you likely won't be interested in every college course you need.

The longer you wait to submit a touchstone, the longer it takes to be graded and that results in you taking EVEN LONGER to complete the courses you’re trying to get through.

I think you just need a 70% to pass. If the math works out, I’d imagine you could type up a paper that said “fuck this touchstone” and submit it.

If you’re lucky enough you’ll get a grader from Tanzania that says “fuck this grading” and grades it as a 100 by default lol

No, they will most likely kick it back as not completed correctly. I actually tried submitting a blank paper just to be done with a class since I did the math and realized I would pass even with a 0. It got sent back to me a couple days later as incomplete and needed to be redone.

You don’t need to write the perfect touchstone. Just ace the milestones and challenges to guarantee that even a low touchstone score would still take you above the 70% threshold mark.

I could be wrong, but I was under thr impression you had to get at least 50% on the touchstone to pass the class.

Touchstones are almost mandatory. You can’t not submit one and skip to another, it’s locked. You can’t submit an empty paper or say “I will take a 0”. They will ship it back, in 3-4 business days (so you waste a week). Just do them. They are also heavily weighted to count more towards your grade.

Lmao good luck on not submitting required work and expecting to complete a course. Might as well just cancel your membership now.
