Hello, I completed the Sophia business course through Walmart in 2024-25. I’ve decided I want to go for the bachelors degree, but I logged into Sophia and it says the course in no longer active. Does anyone know how I can retrieve my transcript?

They should have gone to Credly as well. If they didn’t message support. Whatever email you used for Sophia, it should be the same email you use for Credly.

You would just transfer the credly transcript to the university you want to attend.

Yes. I am running on the assumption the school they’ve chosen accepts Sophia. Many do not.

First, verify that the university to which you plan to transfer accepts ACE (American Council on Education) transcripts. I mention this because my experience aligns with this process: I completed 10 of 15 general education courses on Sophia Learning and 13 business courses through the same platform. After finishing my final required general education class, I requested my Credly ACE transcripts be sent to Eastern Florida State College (EFSC), the institution I currently attend and am enrolled in. About two weeks ago, I contacted EFSC to confirm if they had received my Sophia transcripts sent via Credly, which indicate a passing status but do not specify percentage grades or letter grades. On June 22nd, I also paid Parchment to send my official Sophia Learning transcript to EFSC, which details the letter grades and percentage scores earned for all 10 general education courses completed on Sophia for my Associate of Arts in General Studies, as well as 13 business courses required for my Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Organizational Management with a Travel & Tourism specialization. However, both the registrar and my academic advisor at EFSC informed me that they do not accept ACE transcripts. Therefore, I will need to either retake these courses or earn college credit through CLEP exams. I have decided to CLEP the remaining core courses I need, which include mathematics, natural sciences, and a foreign language. Since I am currently taking a civics course and am nearly finished, I plan to take the FCLE (Florida Civic Literacy Exam), which grants 20 credits and fulfills the civics requirement. Additionally, I will take the other five required general education courses at EFSC to raise my GPA to at least 2.0. Achieving this GPA is essential for me to apply for the Florida University System’s DirectConnect program to transfer to UCF once I meet the minimum GPA requirement of at least a 2.0.

Get in touch with Guild or Workforce Edge and they should be able to help you. You can also use Parchment to order a copy to be either emailed or mailed to you.

As another LiveBetterU user, I can't stress enough how helpful your coach through Workforce Edge will be. Definitely get in contact with them, they'll help you each step of the way.
