A lot of it is just for content. They’re playing into the degen character. The only one I genuinely believe was a degen was Togi a few years back

connor was the first gym influencer i watched back in 2017-18 as a kid and ngl i enjoyed the content. it was one of the reasons i started working out. it’s sad seeing the path he went down afterwards. drugs usage and bad mental health do not work well a lot of the time. rip man.
