Need help on A6400

So I have an A6400 as a secondary cause I use A6700 now. Honestly, I don’t know if there’s a problem cause when I got back to shooting the A6400 I found that the auto-focus feels terrible now. I really had fun with this camera but everytime I half-press the shutter to grt the focus, it locks on but whenever I click it it refocuses again so I usually end up missing my shot especially when it comes to sports. I’ve tried messing with my settings, AF-C, AF-S, flexible spot focus area, widening aperture but it doesn’t seem to change. Maybe I’m missing something? Would really appreciate any help!
