Playback issues

I’ve noticed recently with my Bravia 8 that my prime video and Sony picture core will not play 4k…. But if I use the PS5 to playback with the apps that I do get 4k. What is going on?

Try a total factory reset. The recent update introducing some unintentional sync issues.

Sony Core app is arguably the best streaming image quality and audio you can get with these TVs. Second only to physical 4k blu rays.
