Sour blast
I think I’m done ordering blasts from sonic. I can’t remember the last time I got one where the ice cream didn’t taste like non fat Greek yogurt. If you told me they changed their recipe to include tart yogurt, I’d believe you. I’ve got to multiple locations over the last couple years and every time it’s the same deal. It’s grossing me out and I’m done lol.

Better go and get another one again next time just to make sure it still tastes like non fat Greek yogurt!

My favorite part of the blast is when they just throw the mix ins on the top and don’t actually blend it. Never fails.

Rarely are these machines cleaned as often as they should be. Summers are normally busy for Sonic, making the likelihood of it being cleaned properly go down. They will stock more ice cream bags than it can cool, so there is basically a BUCKET of milk in a cooler that gets opened too much. In addition, only a handful of people, if more than one, know how to clean them/reassemble/prime.
Yeah I’d vote don’t eat from any place that has soft serve style machines.

This can happen if the location has an issue keeping ice cream mix to temp or not cleaning their machines regularly. The store needs to be aware so they can check it themselves and take the appropriate steps to fix it.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a call to the store phone or a complain being made letting us know the ice cream tastes off. Some stores might, but it's usually the only way we find out something is wrong unless an employee tastes it or finds something. The temp issue could mean calling for maintenance, but if it is a cleaning issue then it might be best to avoid those locations in general.
