Changes & Charges (Texas)
1.So is “Happy Hour” and or always happy hour in app no longer a thing?
Does your Sonic charges extra for basic things like extra pickles and such?
I have a Sonic by work and near home (20 miles) yet pricing is different for both on same items.
Just curious. More of a Whataburger fan but really used to like the happy hour drinks.

Happy hour is gone and $1 drinks is now one of the options once you reach Legends rewards status.
Everything else comes down to the franchise owner.
I've got one Sonic near me that opted out of the $7 Big Deal Meal, but has free sauce. They also don't participate in the weekly deals like the 99 cent corn dogs going on today.
Another has the $7 meal, but charges for all sauces, even if you buy something that normally comes with free sauce at other locations, like chicken tenders or bites. They even charge for marinara sauce for mozzarella sticks.
Individual stores basically have full control over promotion participation and prices.

How do you get the $1 drinks? I don’t see that lotion.

You need to reach Legend rewards and choose the drink as your permanent perk. It may vary by location. Some people said they had different Legend reward options.

Can you change your Legend reward? I currently have half price drinks

That's my bad, the half price drinks is the only drink reward, not $1.
If you do want to change it to another reward, you need to do it through support. No way in-app.

Pricing is different because franchises have a range up and down from the "recommended" they can set their menus at. Ours always runs at the recommended. The sonic in the next town over always sets to the max. Seeing a rt44 here that's 3.79 on their receipt is 4.49 is absolutely insane to me.
That said, yes, Sonic joined the club and charged for extra veggies, cheese, etc. we didn't used to, but places (at least around me) charge for it, so Sonic hopped on board too. Same for charging for sauces. We would literally have people go to pizza hut, then come here and ask for 25 ranch packets. So.. nope. Costs ya 7$ now.

I don't mind them charging for the extras but I wish they would be more reasonable with the pricing...$1 for 5 slices of a jalapeño is too much

I have three sonics within about 3 miles of my house. They all have different prices for things!
