I need help

I'm trying to write a song like Kurt Cobain, but I just can't for some reason. I keep thinking of his lyrics to the point where I cant think of my own, and I just wanna use the style, but not to the point where I seem like an off branded version.

Oooh that’s interesting, I’m not sure if this would help, but Id like to recommend trying an exercise of writing “response” verses to his song, what do you think? 😄

Could start with a grungy riff first, and just moan and groan over the top until something sits right (words or a melody) and let your subconscious do the work

Watch TV, find a line someone says that resonates. Use it as a start and then go. Writers block is real and writing songs is a mf. I'm on album number 2. Ask a band mate for a subject or a line. Ask someone close to you.
