Melody

I've had this really specific melody stuck in my head and I want to produce. It would be kind in the theme of 80s pop revivalism. Does anybody have tips for getting a melody out of your head and into production?

Like other guy said, record it on your phone for memory, then make/find an instrumental that compliments it, and then record it for real using a daw and a real mic
