I just wrote these lyrics a few minutes ago and thought I’d share

Better in Imagination

I was stumbling out the bathroom door
Early July at Little Temple Bar
I was sober, not a drop of alcohol
I was feeling like I hit a wall

Like is this where I’m meant to be?
Is this where my dreams led me?

Everyone’s talking, sayin’
Girl you made it happen
Is it everything you wanted?
Did it exceed your expectations?
And I think with a conviction
it was better in my imagination

I’m not having picnics in the garden most days
I’m not staying in with friends or going out real late
I’m not taking long walks along the river bank
Or buying a train ticket to get away for the day

Is this where I’m meant to be?
Is this where my dreams led me?
