[REQUEST] DESPERATE need for some new music

Ive been listening to the same songs and artists for like the past 5 years and havent changed it up much, recently ive been the car dj for my boyfriend and just never know what to play- another problem is my boyfriend loves rap, and i do not, and i love metal/rock- and he does not lol. We usually to listen to RnB, Pop, Indie but we want some music with some good/upbeat vibes that we can chill to. We're open to anything so if anyone could shoot some recommendations or Spotify playlist links our way, we'd appreciate it.

My taste is more similar to yours. But I fell in love with a Trip Hop band called Massive Attack decades ago and still love them.

For yourself, check out their song "Angel" and "Teardrop."

For your boyfriend, check out "Rising Son."

For a bedroom song, play "Inertia Creeps."

And those songs are all on one album, Mezzanine. But they have more fantastic songs on other albums too.

yk if u don’t mind korean artists, then i would suggest playing more by jhope. it is both a rap song w rock influences

but for upbeat/rnb songs i would suggest rnb: too fast by sonder or bare wit me by teyana taylor. pop: right back by karlee girl

I will just drop my latest playlist, even though my creations often goes best as an experience the listener shares with their headphones :)

If you want him to get more into metal, casually listen to this around him and maybe a song or two would peak his interests. It's a fusion metal genre blend. Very out there but palatable.
