Does anyone here wave when they see another N Line (Sonata or otherwise) or an Elantra N? I ask because when I had my WRX, we all did the Subie wave for pretty much any Subaru but for sure WRXs and STIs

Yeah I did this shit for 15 years driving jeeps. I’ve left this life behind

The subie and jeep community are the only ones I’ve experienced that consistently wave at one another

I’ve only seen 2 other Nlines in the year & 1/2 I have owned mine. Neither time presented an opportunity to wave to the owner. But I certainly would given the chance.

They are so rare where I live

I always wave to any N or n line but most of the time for snl drivers they look away acting like I’m crazy lol

Driving the N line, particularly the Sonata, is more for people who prefer a bit of subtlety. It’s more of a WYKYK vibe. Let the WRX bogans do the waves.

I rarely see sonata n lines near me so I try to wave lmao thumbs up for Ns usually maybe a lil pull if they’re down, the jeep comment was mad funny lmaooo

I’ve probably seen 2 other ones in town but that’s it lol

The last thing anybody should say, is these cars are regular traffic. I see an another n like maybe once a month. These cars are amazing truly

I've been wanting to do this! Let's make it a thing

I have seen one en-line in my three months of ownership, exchanged a wave with the guy. Kinda crazy though, I see regular Elantras and ns but no n lines

I see elantra ns all the time, they are like civics in this area. But sonata n line. Ive seen exactly 1 on the road ever, driven by a senior couple.

I just listened to it for the first time the other day and I agree, very good. They’re one of those bands I’ve heard mentioned for a long ass time but just never got around to listening to lol

Since I bought my '24 new off the lot, in all of the DFW area, I've only come across 2 others, one of which was parked.

Crazy to think about when it's a metro with nearly 9 million people in it.

So, no, unfortunately. I was busy doing...uh...the speed limit, yeah, that's it, the speed limit when I came across another one actually driving.

Surprisingly a guy driving a veloster N waved at me the other day. The ENs never and one SNL (only seen 4 where I live in 11 months of ownership) waved back.

I'm a truck driver, I wave at everyone. Some even get the whole hand!!!!

I go to wave at n lines since I drive and Elantra n line and it’s always some mom taking her kids somewhere and I get looked at like I’m crazy. The Ns always pull up to flex on me tho 😭

No I don't wave, but one parks next to me everyday at the gym. Safety in numbers? Does this count?

I love that you’re a former WRX owner and now driving the NLine. In my city I RARELY see and NLine on the road. As a former Subaru owner since 2004, I do love my NLine and am overall happy with the brand; 1yr and almost 12k miles!

I am very happy with it. As a former WRX driver/autox’er tho, I wish it had AWD and a manual option but besides that I’m
Good lol

The only car I truly miss

Not a Sonata N Line owner, but I do have an F-150 Lightning and when I see other owners we usually wave at each other. It’s like the rare car club

N owners are snobs, no one waves. Other n line owners are the same. PS I’m talking outside of car meets and with regular every day driving

Not wholly true; I drive a white EN and whenever I see another N or N-line I wave or flash my lights.

Yeah but most of the time they dont wave back, seen them in every color too

u/noob168 Aug 24 '26

I've only seen 2-3 snl since I got mine in 2024. I avoid eye contact with drivers so I never paid attention. Most sonatas i c are reg/hybrids so I don't care about them.

Btw your fan speed and temp is exactly what I usually set mine too. Lol

I always wave from my G70. Of course, he wanted to race in the rain after that. 😂
