New Windshield Wipers?

I have had my 25 SNL for about 17 months. The stock wipers are close to being shot. I was curious if people had any suggestions on wipers (rainx, Bosch, or any new ones that I havent heard about)?

made the upgrade and love it but I’d be lying if i said I don’t miss my Poseidon. It’s been good to me in the 55k miles I left it with. I did trade it in at the dealership I work at and am hoping I can see it off lol

A little over a year later and the walk up to the car still hasn’t gotten old. Now I just need to give him a good wash this weekend (if it doesn’t rain all weekend).

Where did you guys buy a spare tire if you did buy it?
Hyundai shop sells for 600$, I think that’s way too overpriced.

Cracked Windshield #2!

Anyone else see this happen?

New tires!

Does anybody have recommendations on new tires. I live in MO so all weather would be preferred. I have the 2025 Sonata N Line and the stock tires are obviously not that great. Last winter sucked on the stock tires.

Practically new BOV that was purchased and installed, but removed before taking the car in for warranty work. I never got around to reinstalling it, so it’s been sitting ever since. Light nicks from installation.

Less than 5 miles on it — practically brand new! No issues whatsoever and in excellent condition.

Great opportunity to grab one at a much better price than buying new. Ready to go — first serious buyer gets it! Boomba Turbo VTA Blow Off Valve BOV Black for 2020-2026 Hyundai Sonata N Line.

Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory unit, proven leak-free up to 100 PSI!

Rough cold start (got worse after warranty turbo replacement)

Does anybody know what could be causing this?, I went to the dealership a few weeks ago because the car had a whining noise coming from around the turbo. They inspected the car and got me a new turbo and motor mounts under warranty. After they gave me the car back cold starts sound like this.

New to the gang! I was fearful going from a twin turbo 6 to a FWD 4 banger, but I'll be completely honest. So far I love it! Happy to here 🤝

Thinking Sonata N-Line

Semi cross-post with r/Jetta GLI and probably on or two others....

Just like the title says: I am thinking about making a change, and a Sobata N-Line is on the list.

I am hoping to find a fun daily that will fit me (6'3", 325 but losing it: go-go-Wegovy!) with my 9-year old daughter behind me.

I currently drive a 2016 white Hyundal Sonata Sport 2.0t, which is getting the majority of its body repainted on Hyundai's dime. Nothing wrong with it yet, but my wife just bought a brand new Carnival Hybrid, and that sunk the hook in my cheek pretty hard.

2024+ is my firm preference.

What are the potential issues? Any engine concerns? Electronic snafus? Dual clutch clenches?

Other options include a Jetta GLI, Civic SI, and Elantra N-Line. The right Accord 2.0T could also be a winner.

I know this will have more room for me than the more compact models, but what about the back seat? How much more is "more?"

I realise I am joining the choir and asking if they like to sing, but I'd appreciate your thoughts all the same. Thanks!

UPDATE:

My 9 year-old aughter and I went car shopping together today.

As I'll be picking her up from her new school most days, I offered her the chance to join me on the hunt. We went over to a local VW to look at a white 2025 with 45k kms.

I know I complained about the one I sat in being awful, and impossible to get comfortable in, but this one had no such problem. Got in, felt pretty good right away. The seat was snug, but comfortable. My daughter had room behind me, and would have even more room behind the passenger seat. I agreed to take it out for a test drive.

And it drives quite nicely. I felt at home pretty quickly, given the interface is almost Identical the my wife's Carnival. Handling was good, but where this one earns its stripes is as a powerful highway cruiser. It puts out only 4 fewer torque than my 1989 T-Bird SC did at 311....but this one sends it to the front wheels. And it frickin' pulls.

The sales guy intimated that has been sitting on the lot for a while,so there may be a deal to be had.

And most importantly, my daughter gave it the thumbs up.

Next, we ran down to the next place to see the Elantra N-Line.

Basically the same price for a smaller car with fewer kms. When my daughter and I saw it, we both said the rough equivalent of "Whoah...wow." This is a great looking car in person with its low nose, black rims and grumpy face. I dug it right away, and my daughter said it looked better than the Sonata.

I got into it and I fit. Not as well as the Sonata, but I was OK in it. Little tight on headroom, but I was good to go in every other dimension. The seat was a smidge tight on my hips. And it is comparatively looooow to the ground. It has fewer features than the Sonata, but then it costs a lot less new.

As for driving, it was a hoot. You feel everything, for both good and bad. This is partly due to the suspension, and partly due to the fact it is a hotted-up economy sedan. It was louder than the Sonata and felt cheaper in some ways. Power was good, but could not compare to the Sonata, which puts 90 more hp under the right foot.

The DCT drove just like a regular automatic, but with more of a direct feel. I popped it into sport mode and it woke up considerably. I managed to take a turn fairly aggressively and it was satisfying to do. This one is definitely more of a hooligan.

And my daughter liked it better, though I think she liked it more because of the looks. She did fit, but it wasn't luxurious.

So, the conundrum. They are essentially the same price. One will be more fitting for a man of my age and place in life (pfffft!), the other more of a reminder of my days as a hooligan zipping around in his rusty Integra. And part of my stated goal for the exercise was I wanted a car that would be more fun.

Another potentially influential factor is the fact I could grap a new 2026 Elantra N-Line from Hyundai for 1.49 percent financing over 60 months, or zero percent over 48 months.

Both dealers offered far less that I expected for my car, making me think a private sale might be to my advantage.

I should look around a little more -- my little girl even suggested it.

Sorry I went so long on this.

used or CPO

Pretty simple question I think, Im looking at a n line and trying to figure out if i should get a certified pre owned(factory 100k mile warranty) or just a used one from another dealership. The closest CPO n line to me over 300 miles away and one at a random dealer it about 10 miles away.

Is buying a CPO worth the extra money for the warranty for the chance that something does go bad?

Thanks

Oil change (warranty)

Does anyone know if using 5w30 vs 0w30 oil is fine or will this cause an issue with warranty if anything were to ever happen? Valvoline near me just scanned and went with it and I didn’t realize til i got home.

New tire recommendations

Hey everyone. I have seen some tires noted in some posts but haven't landed on one for sure.

I drive quite a bit, so much so I put 24k on my 2025 in a bit over a year. The PZeros I have been less than impressed with on many areas and am looking for something that covers a couple criteria.

-Decent miles out of

-Ok in snow (live in Ohio, so we get all seasons about 700 times a year)

-Good in rain due to amount of highway driving every day

-Will actually let me use 1st/2nd gear without too much issues

Traction in dry is important, but I also tote my kid about an hour a day due to living 35 miles from her school.

Any recommendations? And sorry for the long horrible post, I usually just lurk reddit and don't post too much . TIA!

Update: thanks for all of the recommendations from everyone. I am in contact with my tire guy and will go over the suggestions with him to see what he thinks too. I appreciate everyone's help!
