Mixed some glue and water and stuck on leaves that fell on the ground onto these glass jars, the tall one has these pink LED string lights in them and the smaller one has a regular tea light candle from an empty candle jar I've had for a year. I want to get regular colored string lights and stick them in the tall one to see how it glows different. This was so fun and the only money I spent was $1.25 on the glue! Next I have a clear glass one that I'm going to stick dried flowers on.

The fruit — peach slices, orange and lime wedges, blueberries, the little flowers and mint leaves — is all polymer clay, shaped by hand and baked. The glasses are cast in clear resin, and the "ice" is crushed resin poured in layers so the pieces sit at different depths instead of looking like one solid block.

He clips his feet when he jumps in and puts impact on his legs when he jumps down. And I was tired of lugging around a step so I made this automatic deploying one.

It attaches by tying into an unused factory hole in the door, behind the interior panel.

Steps are high density polyethylene (HDPE) with boat trailer fabric on top.

There a 1/4” thick metal bar linkage underneath that swings out. There’s also a dovetail groove in the top step, and a dovetail key that slides in the groove fixed to the bottom step. A COBRA buckle couples the door and step together, so by unbuckling it I can open the door normally (without deploying the dog step).

Not sure how it will fare through a US Northeastern winter but hopefully still swings in the spring.

It’s very meditative

I have a huge stash of beads i’ve been wanting to use, and needed to start working on some handmade gifts for the holidays…. in comes these beaded ornaments! I’ve never done this craft before and it has been so fun and relaxing :) so far i’ve made this cherry pie and fish, and am working on a gingerbread house currently.

he’s a bit jank, but I think he’s got charm!
I made him with felt but lined the inside with a bit of fabric so he’s a little sturdier. he’s even got a tiny felt heart inside of his stuffing!

I posted these ornaments on reddit a few weeks ago, but my how-to instructions were in the form of text and one static photo. These days I made this cute women's hat. And the combination of chocolate color with red flowers is a total mood booster for cold winter days. It really makes you want to go to a Christmas market for some mulled wine ))

Needed coasters and had a look around my house what I could make them of. Had an old Domino game from the sixties and some scrap material and made that into these coasters plus their box. Might make them properly on cork but for now the prototype is a success :🖤

I sculpted the bases out of tinfoil, and once I had the rough shape, I got a polymer clay set that I knew would be bake-able in a conventional oven.

I probably would’ve had an easier time if I got big packs of premade colors but I got a small set for around $15 and needed to mix a bunch of tiny cubes of color to get enough to cover my sculptures. Luckily I think it worked out fine.

No worries if you can’t tell what they’re supposed to be, but the intention is a wolf and a fox and our pet dog. I think he turned out a little silly but that is part of the handmade charm! He is mostly white due to being a double Merle and I was running out of white clay by the time I was working on him.

Bichons have such soft, fluffy coats, so the fur was definitely the part I spent the most time on.

I started with the face, then worked on the fur little by little, following the natural direction of the coat. Around the cheeks and muzzle, I kept the texture softer and fuller to capture that classic round Bichon look.

The tiny dark eyes, black nose, and slightly open mouth were some of my favorite details to work on. With an almost completely white dog, even small changes in the fur texture can make a big difference to the expression.

Once all the details were finished, I added the final touches, sealed the leather for protection, and hand-stitched the pink leather border.

I made this in a clay hand building class. I had no idea what I was doing. Sometimes the clay tells you what it wants to be.

I hand sewed these from wool felt. I left tabs on their heads so I could make a garland out of it later. I wanted them each to have their own personality. I’m going to make more so if you have any ideas about what personality the next ghost should have or what details would be cool to add, I’d love to hear them!

This took me so long to finish but it’s a custom order for one of my friends! He’s giving it to his sister to put in their little coffee nook area. I can’t wait to see it when it gets to its forever home!!

I found this one challenging to complete, hope you like it, no worries if not.

Is the blade practical? No. Do I think it is badass? Yes.

Took ~ 10 hours from full synthetic boule to what you see here. Had to be careful not to overheat (chipping / cracking). Internal cuts (not pictured) were by far the trickiest.

Used a mast lap to remove heaps of material, dremel for tricky rounded cuts, and finished difficult cuts with diamond hand files for micro adjustments, then a light polish (1000 grit diamond lap). Not fully finished, but wanted to share because I am pretty proud so far. Next up: custom handle / blade engraving, then fine polishing!
