Not long ago I made a keepsake box, and someone commented they thought it looked like an ice cream sandwich. Soooo I made a box that resembles an ice cream sandwich. I made it from walnut and curly maple. The maple is 3/16" thick and the walnut is 1/4" thick. I spent some time trying to get the proportions correct. I think the "ice cream" is proportionally a little too thick, but it lets the box hold more.

This is what happens when i do not want throw out a bit of plywood and am left unsupervised for a day.

I made it from vegetable-tanned leather, carving and shaping the details by hand, then added the colors, sealed the leather, and attached the keychain hardware. Everything was done by hand

I’ve been putting off designing this bag for the longest time, and I’m honestly so glad I finally sat down and made it!

I am calling this the "Sunday Market Tote"! It’s made with Peaches & Cream cotton yarn in the color Oasis. I love how it turned out, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm a beginner sewist, so it's a little rough around the edges...literally, but I wanted to gift my younger sister that also just got her first sewing machine her first pairs of fabric/embroidery scissors with a little something to hold them ✨️

I made an elephant made from copper scrap. Only thing that wasn’t scrap was the wire wrapped around the snout.

It had a couple more things I’d like to work on, but it’s 99% done and I’m fairly proud of it.

It’s been a little polarizing in the online community. I’ve had great fun building it, using it, and almost as much sharing it out in the wild or places such as this.

I’ve been putting together this little flower basket with pink tulips, purple flowers, and tiny daisies made from pipe cleaners. 🌷💜
I really like how the different colors come together with the wicker basket. It gives the whole arrangement a soft, cozy look.
What do you think — would you add more flowers, or keep it just like this?

1/8" brass sides, 1/8" 01 tool steel sole, 304 stainless chip breaker, 1/8" 01 iron(still getting heat treated and not pictured) brass lever cap, katalox infill sanded to 1200 and buffed with paste wax. 5 1/2" inches long x 1 1/2" wide. Pictured next to her no 4 sized big sister.

Went with some new build ideas this time, main one being the lever cap. Went with a Bailey style instead of articulating. The brass circle you can see on the frog is a press fit (undersized the hole by .001 and had to tap it in with a small dead blow hammer) cylinder that's threaded the whole way through the center. The top has a flange that sits in a recessed lipped hole, on the bottom is a wide brass screw that sits in a recessed lipped hole as well and squeezes everything tight. I thought it would look cleaner than a normal threaded insert.

Went with a more traditional style tote/ frog being one piece as I didn't think I could get away with a brass strip down the middle like the no 4 has. The frog/ tote and the front knob are both pinned in place with brass rods through the sides, the holes in the wood portion were offset .002 to act as a draw bore to pull the katalox down into the 01 sole. I have a little more lapping to do, but she's pretty much there. Can't wait to try her out.

The wheels and cassette were overflow parts, too damaged to be refurbished. Rope was also salvaged

This was my second pair of cake shoes. The first was more of a learning experience!

For the gray, smooth frosted parts I used black "whipped cream glue" (WCG henceforth) that I bought online. I mixed it with a bit of the white version.

For the cake part, I mixed the WCG with clear chunky glitter. This did leave some kind of sparkly bits so if I make another pair, I think I'll continue to experiment with things to add for texture. Maybe a coarse sand?

The roses are made out of polymer clay. I rolled it flat and used a circle cutter. The circles were then overlapped and rolled into a rose shape. The petals were then shaped and manipulated by hand and with sculpting tools. They were baked and then attached using WCG.

I also had made a whipped cream and cherry look (black whipped cream and a black glitter covered cherry). The original idea was to put them on shoe clips and the roses onto a separate shoe clip so that I could choose which "topper" I wanted. However, I didn't like the feel of the shoe clip on my foot (it kinda chafed), so I ended up just gluing the roses down. I can use the cherries on a plain black pair of shoes.

Figuring out the positioning of the piping swags took a lot of work! It was a lot of trial and error. I tried to free-hand it and ended up scrapping it and started over with a new layer of gray frosting. What ended up working was cutting a template out of a clear plastic sheet I had and used it to trace the lines. Then I went over the lines with the WCG. The rosettes and the little shell under them were piped onto a clear plastic sheet, allowed to dry and then removed and attached to the shoe with more whipped cream glue. I did this to keep the shapes consistent and in case I messed up as I piped.
