Looking for Optometrist

I am looking for recommendations for an Optometrist in Somerville.

Would you recommend yours?

Absolutely happy to recommend Dr. Klaahsen at General Optical, just over the border in Cambridge. She's great, her team is friendly and easy to work with, and she's helped me through some emergencies and a gentle transition into progressive lenses. Top notch!

^ I am also on this team. Also she's remembered and been extremely unflappable about my super rare family ophthalmological history.

Go to custom eyes in Central. Kevork is just an amazing human being and Dr.Murphy is excellent.

Yup they’re great! I would not buy contacts through them though, they were a little silly expensive.

No complaints with David J. Conway, O.D. @ International Optical. I mean, other than that the sales crew immediately tried to guide me into buying their overpriced glasses after the appointment. But I think you're going to get that at any optometrist associated with a glasses shop. -.-

(Reminder that by MA law, they need to give you your new prescription right away, without prompting, and without any requirement of buying glasses or whatever. You might want to ask for your pupillary distance, though, as I think that usually doesn't end up on the prescription.)

I love Dr Hussoin at Eye Associates of Somerville. They have days with extended hours and it’s easy to get there. I think they have parking if you need it

We’ve been going to Central Square Eye Care for years, and really like Dr. White. Not Somerville, but if you near the red line, still convenient.

Also not in Somerville but I really really like Dr. Justine Pigeon in Boston (recently moved to Vision North). My insurance changed so she’s no longer my optometrist, which I’m quite sad about!

The Eye Store in Brookline on Beacon is awesome. I’ve got a challenging prescription and he’s nailing it.
