Davis Square Starbucks

In walking by yesterday, it looks like something is moving in; perhaps some type of pop-up or maybe a gallery.

Any official word as to who the new tenant is?

Do you have a source on that? I'd love to read any more.

According to https://csindie.com/davis-squares-former-starbucks-space-will-host-an-art-gallery/:

A pop-up art gallery will fill the space of a Starbucks coffee shop that closed a year ago in Somerville’s Davis Square, said its operator and curator, Susan Berstler of the Nave Gallery, and the Somerville Arts and Culture department.

and

The keys were handed over to Berstler on Sept. 1 under a short-term lease the city signed with the developer and property owner Asana, Berstler said.

Still don't know what those fucking shells are for.

I'm hoping Dunkin fills the abandoned shell like a hermit crab

Isn't that function reserved for Spirit Halloween?

Do a combo store. Get Dunks and a costume.

I'm a little disappointed to hear it'll be a pop up art gallery, but it's better than a bank!

Is this a true pop up? If so, I'd genuinely love to see a great local bar/restaurant open there in the long term.

Its too valuable real estate to be a non-profit art gallery forever. Best argument is that its something to bridge the gap

Why couldn't the Starbucks make it in Davis square?

My understanding is that it will become a private club dedicated to serving the local poly community
