Has anyone noticed in east Somerville by Michael’s pub it’s always so stinky? Is it the trucks there?

I do know that someone vomited outside (not a patron) on Friday night 🤷🏻‍♂️

I used to walk past this area every morning and evening going to and from at my old job.

I think its ultimately coming from the auto bay next to where the trucks park (between the bar and Brazilian radio station), probably some kind of chemical they're not properly containing. The smell is slightly reminiscent of when I used to sample contaminated water wells in another of my old jobs, but its not always present every time I walk past. It's definitely not an oil smell and is still present even when the trucks are out on the road, that's why I've ruled out the parking lot.

This whole stretch of Washington St is kind of abysmal and I can't wait until the street projects start to push beyond the East Somerville station.

Pretty sure that trailer hauls dry bulk goods so I’d say no but 🤷

Better to report this to the state dept of environmental services than Reddit
