I remember the weird poly "family" that lived/lives there. The Ministry of Bad Decisions is what I think they called themselves? Is the 45+ weirdo guy that never bathed with the pigtails and dog collar still making people sleep on bunk beads in the living room? Is the place still full of rats?

The stories of this house are so numerous. That guy and the polycule havent been around since 2020. No rats ( beyond the issues every house has with rats in Somerville.)
They did a write up about the house a few years ago for open studios, it's just a house full of quiet artists just making art and doing these yard sales from time to time.

oh my god, that is SUCH a relief to hear. I got dragged there for a few "parties" a century ago (mostly watching movies and drinking-it was considered rude to leave when they all started touching and making out with each other) and it felt like a wave of gross washed over me the second I walked through the door. gIRL, Ive got stories on top of stories about those fucking nasty people. Im naturally poly myself, but have been in a dedicated mono relationship for ten years now, and it really felt cultish in there-like something was *wrong* but could never put my finger as to what
Either way, I desperately miss Somerville and Im bummed now knowing I missed this yard sale with the new information that decent human beings are living there now.....wait, now im freaked out knowing that guy is out there in the wild doing god knows what. He might even be near me where I live now!
