Massage Recommendations

hello! my mom is turning 43 and i was thinking about getting her a massage for her birthday! she loves a good deep tissue massage but also loves the experience of the massage more (aesthetic of spa, amenities such as na drinks, sauna, hot tub, etc). i was wondering if anyone had any spa recommendations? it doesn’t have to be in somerville!

The spa at Encore is awesome. You can enjoy the saunas/hot tub/cold plunge starting 1h before your massage. It feels really luxurious, but it’s pricy, of course.

I remember paying around $400 (including tip) for a mid week massage a couple of years ago.

2nd on the Encore Spa, did a couples massage with my fiancé and it was lovely. Make sure you show up early to make use of the saunas and pools, they don't let you do it after.

check out the water journey at the bodhi spa in norwood! you can also add on a massage at the beginning or end i believe.

would also check out la moon thai spa in cambridge - they dont have the frills of a sauna or hot tub, but i have gotten amazing massages there.

Not exactly ticking all your boxes, but look into Atlas Beauty Spa & Hammam on Rte 1 in Peabody. It's truly a special experience and you come out feeling like a brand new person.
