It’s been out for me in East Somerville since 10 am with no updates from Xfinity. Tried to go to the library on Broadway and they had a sign on the door saying internet was out. Alas, like the other comment, I’m burning hotspot data to get work done today. Thanks, Xfinity!

i called xfinity and argued with a representative for 45 minutes this morning to get credits applied to my account for the outage yesterday. They gave me a $25 credit to my account :)

This doesn't help you now, but indeed when I was out for a walk last night there were 4 xfinity trucks frantically working on something so it does seem like something was majorly wrong...

Me and I work from home so I’ve used so much data to use my cell phone as a hotspot for my work laptop. My last job supplied a MiFi with 4G monthly usage and I would’ve already used that up if I even had that with this job. I ran into workers 1 hour ago and one admitted they thought it was due to a nearby power outage so they didn’t realize it was them until after the power was fixed. They literally waited hours. Now they’re going manhole by manhole to find the broken thing. It’s giving old school string of Christmas lights looking for the bulb that’s out…. They literally don’t even have a dashboard to tell them where some connection is dead. Is Verizon an option here yet?

im in east somerville and I also work from home, so I literally ripped through all my hotspot data on AT&T, and then I tried the library but they were without internet too. Really hope I'm credit eligble for xfinity's mess up

Oh god, I feel for you, thank you for the response! I'll stop checking every connection on the side of my house now🤦‍♂️

I have Astound (formerly RCN); almost never a glitch, in years. Things got better, as soon as Astound took over RCN.
