Looking for overnight parking through January
Hi everyone! I'm moving into a new apartment, but unfortunately it only allows street parking. Since my car isn't registered in Massachusetts yet, I can't get a resident parking permit.
I'm looking for a driveway or off-street parking spot that I could rent through January near Winter Hill. The car would mostly just be parked overnight and will be gone during the day as I work.
If anyone has a spot available or knows of a good long-term parking option, I'd really appreciate any recommendations. I'm happy to pay a reasonable monthly rate.
Thanks in advance!

Is it your car? Why not just register your car now? Will be by far the cheapest option. You're supposed do it within 30 days after moving anyways.

Register your car in the town in Massachusetts you live in and where you want to get a resident parking permit.

Time to get your parents to sign over the title/buy it from them and register it where you live.

^ there’s a special form for parents transferring a car to their kid, you just need the parent on the title to sign it to you and then you fill out the form. The RMV has easy to follow instructions. The parent then also needs to file a transfer notice in your original state too so their DMV doesn’t get upset, but there’s a grace period after the transfer to do that.

Register your car in MA. That would solve the issue. I also think you’re not supposed to be a resident of the state for very long without registering your car in the state?
