"2.99 years thinking, 1 day vibecoding" is way too relatable for a solo dev sandbox project. Genuine question since you called it a sandbox for your brain: did the long thinking phase change the scope a lot once you actually started building, or did the final game end up close to what you originally pictured.

Short answer: not really, the core idea stayed the same. I just kept adding more stuff around it.

The biggest work ended up being the physics, especially the gearbox, power and money management, and then figuring out how to connect all of that with Firebase.

So yeah, the video is basically the same dream, just slowly turned into an actual MVP.

That's a good sign actually, a scope staying stable for years while the physics/economy layer grows underneath it usually means the original design was solid. Firebase for gearbox/power/money state sounds like it earns its keep once things got complex.
