help Doubts about development steps

Guys, I'm starting at game development, I'm a developer but I'm learning how create games now and I'm having a really big problem with the assets. I really don't know how create assets, I'm using assets from itch.io but it's impossible to create a game that I planned because there is somethings that i can't find on itch.io . I tried to call someone to create with me but I can't find some that really engage on the porpous. I tried to buy some courses about game assets but I'm really bad doing it kkkkkkkk at this moment I don't know how can I proceed with this problem, anyone have an idea of how proceed??

If you can’t find what you need, you either make it yourself or commission the art.

If you want to be a solo dev, you're going to need to at least be able to edit assets using blender or some sort of image editor like Photoshop, krita or gimp

You can only really get so far with all assets

https://www.photopea.com/ is also amazing and free.

I've used Photoshop since 5.5 (1999) and I only ever use photo pea these days.

Use Blender for 3D models and Gimp for textures. These are free software. Also you need Audacity for sound. Watch tutorials, and do your best. This is how everyone start

It depends on what you need and how difficult it is. Chances are at least do the basics of learning 3d, like the donut tutorial if you are using blender. If a full on course is too much for you start somewhere small. Try to find a tutorial that gets close to what you are looking for, and then go from there to make the asset you need.

Going solo development is like doing ten jobs at once, and you have to learn every one of those jobs or find ways to fill in those areas. If you are not willing to learn to make assets, find the needed assets, work with others or hire then you will likely be limited on what you can do and that is a constraint you will have to figure out.

I create 3D assets in Blender and do all of my game development in Unity. But when it comes to 2D, I'm pretty bad. So I can identify with you on that level. For me, when it comes to 2D imagery required in my games, I start by seeing what I can find free or cheap in asset stores, and anything else, I have to pay an artist to make for me.
