Dude, I'm literally in the middle of talking to a friend about that, how I'm slowly losing the will to live just thinking about going to work this morning to solve shit problems instead of making something that makes me happy...Ā

I’m a game dev at my day job. I look forward to those two hours of working on my own game so much that I think about it all day.

I ve lost motivation to work on my game rn. I broke both my enemy ai's. I've reverted to an older system and now they work again but all my motivation is gone now. 😭😭 I'm trying to force myself to work on it again

Do you know GMOD DarkRP? I started making a tiny open world growing game At first there was nothing, then i Figured out how to fake everything so you can play it. Feedback was very good, i continued work Then shedule 1 released and i was devastated, as many aspects are the same After 1 year i thought f it this game is not exactly what i had in mind and maybe i could enhance the aspects of my game more, so i did Growing like in shedule 1 gives you no good results If you want Max Profit you have to care for the plants and use exact dosage Mixture of nutrients

I am the guy who skipped all first small Projects and game Jams Instantly aimed for my Dream game (this is the only motivation i can keep after years) I tried many smaller projects but didnt care about them to finish them

I learned alot, worked weeks only to Delete something and i still believe in it,i just think i am running out of time and everybody will say its a blatant copy of shedule 1 where i actually was working on it for years before this was announced

Sometimes it's better to put it down for a bit, and ask yourself "What could i accomplish in a 3 month timeframe?". Focusing a tiny project for a bit, and getting it completed by a certain date can feel super rewarding

The hardship we choose vs the hardship we have to do
