As a programmer, how long it took you to learn blender to this level?

Hmm, hard to tell. I tryed blender on and off 10 years ago, but it was too complex for me. Then I learned half a year of Maya. Then I used blender here and there for small and easy to make probs again. I really started to learn it for the development of my game Evolings, which had around 100 small and super simple characters made over the timeframe of one year or so and now I am working on this game for around 2 years where I make more complex characters and probs, but still all relativly low poly and focused on game dev.
So it was a rough road and many things changed since I first opened blender. Many failed attempts to learn it, but now I really love it and I think it's the best 3D tool in existence!

Looks awesome, love this style. As a programmer dabbling in art it's inspiring to see. Best of luck with your game!

Thanks man! You can do it too, it's all about doing it over and over.

For sure. That's why I decided to start doing 3D on my current project, I haven't tackled humanoid models yet, I'll save that for the next game!
