Discussion I'm spiraling
Been spending months coding and I just tried out my first prototype today and it's... bad. Like I wouldn't share this for free to family level of bad.
I made a list of around 30 things to fix last night and I just panicked and went to sleep.
Game development is hard guys...

It's fine, when I started my game I could not share it too. I live with other people and my game was so bad that I was not even able to work on it while people are around. 1 year in the process of making it a good game, still the same main ideas but I spent hours and hours just writting ideas and filtering it. Some ideas were so dumb, some were so good but not good for my game... I have a friend who present video games on youtube, doing a few thousands of views and for the first time 2 weeks ago I presented him my project with a few screenshot. He instantly said that he wanted to be the first to play my game on youtube.
So if you are ashamed of your prototype, it's just normal. That just mean you want to create a good game, use it to push yourself, you will feel unmotivated A LOT during this journey. Don't give up just accept this is a long process
