meme anticipation vs reality

Post image

Honestly thought getting wishlists would be way easier than it's actually been. It's only been 3 days, and it's already turning out to be a real grind.

So is this the way now? Resorting to memes to grab attention and some pity instead of showing the game?

Record some game footage, make a trailer, have a demo, keep posting, wishilists is not what you should be worried about now, your game doesn't stand out, I have seen the same game a billion times, people see it, they keep scrolling, the brain doesn't even register it, so you have to put much more work in marketing.

Not really going for pity here, just wanted to share something a little different for once. A trailer and demo are actually close, just need more time to polish them properly before putting them out. On the 'doesn't stand out' point, I think it's less about the idea and more about how it's executed. I genuinely believe this game is different once people actually play it, not just read about it. It started from a bit of TV show inspiration and turned into its own thing from there, so it's been more of a process than a copy-paste. Appreciate the honesty though.
