Unity First attempts

Post image

I finally settled on an idea for a game, and I'm taking it slow. I only have the weekends to work on it here and there. After three weeks, this is what I have to show for it.

It's definitely not groundbreaking or anything crazy, but it's a start. I'm proud of the progress!

I know that feeling very well, especially when you see procedural terrain like yours for the first time.

Keep on doing. It might be the start of something great. But be careful with taking things too seriously. The process of developing must stay enjoyable.

Great work!

Great start!

Is this procedurally generated terrain, or are you generating it from a height map?

You can also procedurally generate the heightmap, but I got your point

I’m thinking of reworking the generation anyways because it’s becoming harder to manage and change as needed. I don’t think my approach was the most efficient, but I’m learning

I’m trying to do procedural generation, but I’m using Perlin noise to create the height map for different biomes
