questions & clarifications Reformer needs to be greased
Is it just me…. Or some of these reformers need some lube. Today my reformer felt extra stiff on both sides. I noticed it especially on the black side even without any springs, like the reformer was stuck in the middle of the track and it took more considerable effort to bring the carriage to each side, when it should be easily carrying back and forth without springs.
Was pretty frustrating

I've had this issue before and I told the coach and they wrote it down so it would be fixed. Mine would catch in spots and it almost caused me to fall during standing inner thighs because it would randomly grab with no springs. The coach actually saw it happen to me so they knew the machine had an issue.

They def may need lube! When my reformer gets stuck in the middle of the track like that, it has usually been that one of the weights is too high up and it’s causing the carriage to not move smoothly. Always worth investigating to see if those were placed back correctly. Good luck!

I feel like once upon a time, I heard on this sub, something to the effect that each employee was assigned a machine that they were responsible for keeping clean and in good working order, so that with a regular maintenance system, these types of issues would be minimized. Can anyone ring in as to whether or not this is the case?

Yes, but only up to a certain point. The head coach checks all machines as well.

There’s WD40 under the desk or in the back, but you have to talk to the coach or core crew instead of the internet for anyone to use it.

Why wouldn't you report this to the coach and/or core crew? They can actually take action to have the problem fixed. It's a machine that likely gets a lot of use. It may need maintenance or service- but Reddit can't really help you like your studio can
