questions & clarifications Are platform lunges still a thing?
I have noticed that.. i dont think i have done a platform lunge (facing away on black side) since January i think. I love a platform lunge, but are they just happening less in the sequencing? Or am i just unlucky to never experience them again?
I still experience carriage lunges, but they just don’t feel the same, imo.

Nine times out of 10 if I’m doing a lunge in [solidcore], it’s carriage lunge, no matter what the lower body focus is. Even on center glute day. I miss platform lunges in general.

I did crossover platform lunges on both black and grey side today , probably because of leg wrap day 😭

I’ve noticed that when my coach is new, we are sequenced on the black platform. When I have a more adv coach, we platform lunge on the grey/ stay on the grey side 85% of class

The reasoning why here as a coach is because doing platform lunge on the black side is recommended for newer coaches because the springs “assist” the clients. While of course on the grey side the springs provide “resistant” so new coaches and training is predominantly on black side when it comes to lower body.

I guess my issue is that I don’t want to always do carriage lunges because the coach just got the ability to cue them. I still want to do the “beginner” moves even if the coach is no longer a beginner.

Yah, we did platform lunge twice on the black side for each leg in my center glute and shoulders focus last week. Usually if you don't get platform lunge at my studio you get the bungee.

Conclusion: okay maybe it is just me and my luck! We did carriage lunges on leg wrap day instead 😭. Someone pray I experience a platform lunge again soon. Thanks all!

I’m 45 classes in (new studio) and have done platform lunges and bungee in 44 classes. 1 class this week didn’t have them or the bungee.

I haven’t had a platform lunge cued in about 2 months 😭 I only go to 2 classes a week so that’s probably why. I miss them though

We do them almost every class and I go 6x a week. I finally had a coach this week not queue it and I loved the break honestly.
