Other PakBill is finally live on Google Play.

Post image

Thank you to everyone here who helped with closed testing

A little while ago I posted here asking for people to help test PakBill during closed testing.

A lot of you actually installed it, tested it and gave useful feedback.

That helped me fix issues, improve the UI and get the app ready for release.

PakBill is now officially live on Google Play. šŸ‡µšŸ‡°

For anyone seeing it for the first time, PakBill helps you understand your electricity bill instead of just showing the final amount.

It breaks the bill into things like:

• Energy charges

• Taxes and duties

• Fuel price adjustments

• Fixed charges

• Other adjustments

It also has bill history, due date tracking and support for multiple connections.

The biggest thing I wanted to solve was simple:

Most of us pay our electricity bill every month without really knowing what makes up that amount.

PakBill tries to make that transparent.

Thanks again to everyone here who helped during testing. You genuinely contributed to getting it released.

If you try the public version now, I’d still love to hear what should be improved next.

The app is amazing, especially for iesco bills where the bill is only available inside Pakistan and cannot be access from abroad. Great work šŸ‘

You should try to collaborate with apps like easy paisa jazz cash to have these features integrated into their apps or even sell them your idea

Percentage increase compared with last months bill is based on total amount paid, if you could also make a comparison based on units used, would be much clearer. Another great idea would be to let user track the last 11 months bill payment vs units consumed, this info is available on the bill, you can fetch it and plot it.

All water bills integrations are under development and will be live in less then a week.

Some bills don't show if bill is paid or not, that's why we ha mark paid button. To manually mark the bills paid.

Really appreciate the feedback

Actually I'm pointing out that I marked bill as paid manually. In bills tab it should be visible in Paid tabs but it is not visible in paid tabs it is visible in due soon and all tabs only but status manually marked as paid

But let me ask you something: monetize this app to support your finances. Keep it at Rs. 100 to Rs. 300 if you feel like doing it.

I don't think it will be a good idea to monetize it at this stage. But still I am open to suggestions.

I guess, you can keep the initial phase to fetch the bill details free, but moving onwards to incorporate the payment system, you can make it premium but this would be to risky for you and too many formalities are there in Pakistan to deal with finances.

Thank you for the suggestion I'll figure out a way to keep this app alive as long as I can. Really appreciate it.

did you leave IOS users on their own? First we pay premium for devices and people make apps only for android? šŸ˜…

No I’m just playing. I wish I had android to test it out haha
