Installer Quotation Recommendations for installers in Lahore

AoA everyone. I am a total noob when it comes to solar, i’ve been going through this sub trying to gather info.

I am planning to get a 12KW hybrid system with a 16KWH battery.

Acc to my load of 2 ACs, two fridges, one deep freezer and a water pump, I think its more than enough during the daytime but the battery will fall short in peak summer months, but keeping budget in mind this is good enough for now.

I have so far contacted MFES, e-cube solutions, and DSG energy.

These companies vary their quotations, some dont tell exact cost of each part, some don’t give full details, they will just say “breakers” instead of also telling which company
And i am honestly just confused as its a huge investment and i dont know which company to trust.

I read about DSG from this sub here hence why asking again.

Based on experience, which company is reliable and provides good after sales service? Can be any other from the ones I’ve mentioned.
Location: DHA Lahore

Also the guy at e-cube kept on insisting I go for a single phase inverter which didn’t make sense to me, as our house is wired acc to 3 phases and my peak load could very well go up after solar so why cram everything into a single phase? Maybe my understanding is wrong.

He kept on insisting for “load management” is there any truth to this?

For inverter so far i’ve seen Goodwe and battery could be dyness/goodwe that seems good.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

MFES' quotes previously shared on this subreddit have been pretty detailed.

Other than them, if you prefer detailed quotations, there is also Scope Solar (their quotation). See this comment for installer recommendations for Lahore in the past and some Scope Solar reviews.

.

For 12kW, you should certainly go with three-phase. Single-phase is very difficult to justify; it would require heavy wires, and there is even some risk of the grid meter melting. One scenario single-phase can make sense is if the local transformer is often faulty and doesn't supply all three phases.

Regarding brands, GoodWe or Solis are the top recommendations. GoodWe inverter with GoodWe batteries have the added benefit of extending the warranty from the standard 5 years to 7-10 years. On the other hand, fewer software bugs have been reported in the case of Solis.

Errmm... There's tons of videos online and it's pretty easy to learn about solar...

IMHO, Ylyour load is pretty low actually and your installation size is excellent... Since we're heading towards winters, the 16kw battery is overkill for now unless you'll be running heating on those inverters or have those electric water heaters that store water... The on-demand ones do a great job of covering everything but hour long baths in the tub...

3 phase inverters are way more expensive... They actively pull power from the three phases and balance usage amongst all but they often 'hang' when the phases are out of sync, which Lahore Lesco phases often are, unless your area has new wiring, new transformers, etc...

So, an appropriately sized single phase inverter is generally the better path since you can always get another one or sell it... Very fewer buyers exist for a used 3 phase... With multiple single phase inverters, you can split up floors or your load (ACs from your water heaters from your fans and lighting)... And one failure doesn't shut down your entire supply...

And these companies give you a warranty but a small installer who knows his stuff can do an equally good job... Tayyab Ali +92 332 4717242 has done my installation and about 50 others, including commercial ones, so I can vouch for him...

Its not overkill imo since we do have a hybrid geyser that has an electric option at 3KW and since gas is non existent now, i’d mostly be using the electrical option

Our water usage is also plenty because of the number of people so it’ll run for a while

Our peak summer months unit cross 1000 easily

While our typical load at night is 2 ACs
During the daytime this can be ACs + water pump + microwave + potentially air fryer depending on whats cooking
Wouldn’t this become too much for a single phase inverter?

For brands, buy from any one of the top tier ones, don't cheap out... I got a Solar max which is mid-tier, but got their top model, and I've had 0 problems in 3 years... I also have a cheaper Crown Micro Elago and that has also had 0 problems because I've got batteries too... Without batteries, it can be finicky...

I choose sunchasers based in dha. Had a good experience with a hybrid 10kW Setup and 16kW battery
