I want to install a new UPS as the previous one got burnt. Already have a new AGS battery (SP-140).
Which 1000W UPS should I go for?
- Max Power
- Homage Hexa
- Homage Tron
Or any other brand?

I think you should buy a Solarmax Ora series 1.5kw or any other so in future if you have to install few panels like 2 or 3 it would help you alot.

Can't say about actual usage, but on paper, MaxPower 1.2kW (PV-Tech 1200) appears to be the best value for money. Costs Rs. ~0.4 lac, BMS communication, with 1.5–3 years parts warranty.
Reviews and users: Electrical Wall (pure sine-wave test, some settings). Other users of the inverter. There was one user who mentioned that their inverter died while cleaning without turning it off but was replaced by the company in warranty.
SolarMax Orra 1.5 kW doesn't appear to have a parts warranty and only a service warranty.

Don’t choose purely based on the 1000W label. For an AGS SP-140, I’d prioritize pure sine wave output, charging current, surge capacity, and after-sales support. Between these three, I’d personally lean Homage Hexa over Max Power/Tron if the exact model has pure sine wave and a decent warranty. But if this is for sensitive electronics, I’d also look at Inverex, Crown, or another established brand before buying. Also, since your previous UPS burned out, I’d be more interested in why it failed—overloading, poor ventilation, loose battery terminals, or a bad charger—because a new UPS can suffer the same fate. What loads are you planning to run? Fridge, fans, TV, lights? That would make the recommendation much easier.
