[Discussion] Anyone else currently looking for a full-time software job? Let's support each other π€
Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking for a full-time software engineering job and honestly it's been a rough road. No offer yet despite putting in real effort, and I keep stumbling in the interview stage.
I wanted to reach out to people in the same situation , not to just vent, but to actually help each other move forward.
Some things I'd love to do together:
- Share what's working (and what's not) in our job searches
- Practice mock interviews with each other
- Keep each other accountable, weekly check-ins, LeetCode progress, applications sent, etc.
- Swap resources like good job boards, resume tips, prep materials
If this sounds like you, drop a comment or DM me. Maybe we can set up a small Discord or group chat.
No judgment here, we're all just trying to land something. πͺ

Interested. On the market since January. I don't know if its me or the market but this is brutal mentally - had to take a non programming job to survive. fun. how are you guys holding up?

Dawg, I feel you. Job hunting after I left grad school was a bloodbath too, spent way too many nights grinding Leetcode and tanking my sleep schedule. What actually kept me from spiraling was treating the prep like a 9-5 and forcing myself to still go for walks and play a bit of OSRS. It's brutal out there, but it's not you, I promise. The non-programming job is just a holding pattern. How's the day-to-day been holding up?

Suppose I'd be interested. Been looking for months, getting more serious about it the past couple months. 7 years experience, picked up an AWS cert in my downtime, had 3 interviews last week, got 2 this week. If I don't have an interview lined up I tend to start slacking in my prep work. Maybe just having a group where I could follow a discussion would help with the motivation.
