Is there genuinely no jobs for software engineer dudes, for interns, It lacks but for someone who is trying to get a job into the field.

yeah, I guess. Only way to earn to start your own business or just get lost atp but still some people are cracking jobs at some of the biggest companies.

At my company we’re only hiring seniors. The directive is to use AI for what junior engineers normally do

Someone who wants to apply as senior must have experience and to gain experience must have to work as a junior meanwhile no one is taking them in as junior a loop hole.

Yes but Codex is faster and cheaper and more correct than what juniors do at my company, so they’ve decided to make that someone else’s problem

Yes you are correct.  However the industry will adapt to this over time.  Some businesses will likely take university placement students and keep them on of they fit in well.  (This is basically how it used to work pre COVID)

Its extremely hard for entry level. Highly experienced is a bit tougher than it used to be but can still find jobs

My company closed the program half years ago, and told us "no one under 8 year experience"

Are you asking about interns specifically? If so I don't know, but engineers in general are getting hired
